RSAA/ Büro Zhuang Ziyu was invited by the organizer to participate in the design of the installation at the entrance of Xintiandi, and the " The Cloud Maze " came into being; the design team looks forward to the meaning of the installation to the people themselves and the meaning of communication between people and the city. This series of questioning metaphors, such as the way of interaction between people, and the image of new urban space composed of information constructed by people, are interpreted, and expect participants to find the answers in their hearts.

" Tan “
The height of the device is four meters, and the metal curtain may be enclosed. The surface is shiny and hanging. Light will be projected to form a gray space and can also transmit light and shadow. The interactive relationship between double shadow and human is real and virtual, and the relationship between sections and the meaning of the maze in the plans are also connected. When you explore this city, sometimes you will come to the dark, and after you will see the light.

The experience of the installation is a maze, but from a distance it looks like a mountain or cloud in a painting. This kind of section is a metaphor for the urban paradise. The people who escape from the city and the mountains in paintings form an overlapping relationship. In this overlap, the mountains, clouds, and people merge into the same body and show the different forms from the interaction of the participants; the mountains are the soil(土). , And like a cloud(云), it is "Tan(坛)".

” City "
The installation is a metaphor about a maze, a circular maze with a diameter of five meters, in which people will miss and meet. From the perspective of the cut plane, different elevations are in different shapes and maze paths, so people with different heights and body types will have different interaction and contact possibilities inside.

Space is carried by maze. It sometimes hide your view and sometimes gives you a way. People will explore with the ups and downs or folds of the form. The maze is the miniature of the city. We met or separated in this city; in the past, strangers met online; but now, people return to the offline space and rediscover themselves in this metaphorical city. Here it means "City".
